Henry Louis Gates, Jr. embarks on a deeply personal journey through the last fifty years of African American history in this PBS four-hour series produced by WETA.
Series host and executive producer Henry Louis Gates Jr. had just completed an extensive promotional tour for his documentary Black America Since MLK, which resulted in overexposure with entertainment writers and general media.
Greenough’s aggressive media campaign targeted both national and global top-tier and niche publications and broadcast outlets. This campaign involved extensive research specific to relevant news and trends, proactive outreach to outlets for reviews and commentary, and facilitating interview opportunities for host and executive producer Gates to generate coverage.
Greenough handled logistics for several premiere events, including the Television Critics Association’s Winter 2017 Press Tour event in California, the National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington D.C., and the Council of Foreign Relations event in New York City
